District Finalists and State Qualifier 2016
One Nevada Middle School entry qualified for state competition, and six entries were named finalists at the District History Day held March 30 at Central College in Pella.
Eliana Hornbuckle was selected as a State History Day qualifier for her documentary “The Kolb Brothers.”
In addition, six entries were selected as finalists in their categories: Reagan Chitty for her website “Roe v. Wade”; Madison Davis and Megan Wessels for their website “J.E. Hangar and the Growth and Exploration of Prosthetics”; Meredith Harter for her exhibit “The Plaisted Polar Exhibition”; Ulrich Wolfe for his exhibit “The First Transcontinental Railroad”; Izzy Humpal-Pash and Amelea Jones for their exhibit “Fight, Flight, or Freeze”; and Clay Bauman, Keaton Fry, and Kody Kruschwitz for their exhibit “Helmet Evolution.”
